Health, Dental and Life Insurance Information

Employees who work twenty hours or more per week in an assignment for six months or greater are eligible for benefits through the Town of Needham.
Please note that any change in enrollment must be completed within 30 days of the qualifying event

Flexible Spending and Dependent Care Accounts

Benefit Strategies offers both an FSA (Flexible Spending Account) and a DCA (Dependent Care Account). Please note that HSA Qualified Plans are not eligible for an FSA. Once you enroll in Benefit Strategies during open enrollment you will want to visit their website to set up an account:

Credit Union Membership/Savings Plan

Employees are eligible to join the Wellesley Credit Union and can have deductions taken from their payroll checks for some of the services offered by the Credit Union. If you have any questions, please call (781) 235-0503.

Teachers and Administrators (Units A and B, Principals, Central Administrators) participate in the Massachusetts Teachers Retirement System. Teaching assistants, program specialists, secretaries, office assistants, food service workers and managers (Units C, D, and E) participate in the Town of Needham Retirement Board.

Each contract has a required notification date to access sick leave buy back (see specific unit contracts).

403b and 457 Deferred Compensation Plan Information

TSA Consulting Group, Needham's third-party administrator, manages all aspects of the 403(b) voluntary retirement annuity accounts. You will find everything you need to open a new account or manage an existing account on this website. 

The Annual Administrative Fee paid to TSA for a 403b is $22.50.
