NPS teachers can enhance their curriculum with a live animal visit from the Science Center!
Our animal collection includes: mammals, reptiles, fish, insects, and other invertebrates.
Most of these are available for short term loan (up to 2 weeks) in the classroom.

Students are always welcome to visit the science center and see our amazing animals! Please be sure that your student has a permission form filled out before bringing them in.
The following is a list of animals available for loan to your classroom:
*These animals must be requested at least two weeks in advance of date needed in classroom.
A Science Center staffer will deliver the animal, introduce it to a classroom, and give students ideas for animal-related observations and activities. The staffer will also discuss the animal's habitat and care.
The animal will arrive with a cage, food, bedding, and care instructions. During the length of the stay, students and teachers are responsible for animal care. The Science Center staff will be available to answer questions and concerns.
Animals are also available for a 30-minute question-and-answer session with a science center staffer.
