Our goal is to serve an appetizing, satisfying and nutritionally sound lunch in a fun, congenial atmosphere. We view the school cafeteria as a nutrition laboratory which will reinforce and complement the basis nutrition principles that are taught in the classroom.
The department director, Ruth Griffin, is a Registered Dietitian. Menus are planned using Nutrient Standard Menu Planning. New menu items are introduced quite regularly, especially salads and new veggie recipes. Nutrient information is available for all foods served (See Menus and Information on this web page).
The Food Service Staff are Serv Safe trained and Certified and take pride in serving carefully prepared food in their clean kitchens.
