Needham Community Education’s NCE ELEMENTARY program offers a wide array of after school classes at each elementary school, and evening programs as well.
Check out the¬†sneak peek¬†of¬†NCE ELEMENTARY¬†enrichment classes for Session 2 (starting late November). There are classes that will appeal to every child: 3D printing, STEM topics, coding, ceramics, crafts, music, foreign language, sports and fitness, chess and acting. Most classes are one-hour long, once a week for 5‚Äď8 weeks.

Afternoon classes begin at the end of the school day. Students are dismissed to the designated NCE waiting area of their school, where they are supervised by the NCE On-Site Coordinator until the NCE instructor arrives to escort the students to their classroom. (As a reminder: parents/guardians of students registered for NCE classes need to notify their classroom teachers, KASE teachers and NEDP instructors that their child will be attending an NCE class after school.)

The NCE ELEMENTARY catalog, with class descriptions and pricing, will be online and emailed on Monday, October 23. Registrations will be taken online, beginning at 7:00am on Wednesday, October 25. Details will be provided with the release of the NCE ELEMENTARY catalog.

For students in NEDP: Students enrolled in NEDP may also register for NCE Elementary programs. They will be escorted back to NEDP at the end of their class.
For students with special needs: NCE Elementary classes are open to all, and every effort will be made to accommodate students with special needs. Please contact Carolyn Colonna, NCE Program Director, ( if you would like guidance as to which programs may be the best fit for your child.
Scholarship assistance is available: Students who qualify for free or reduced lunch may take one class per session with NCE at a reduced price. Scholarship registrations cannot be taken online. Please contact NCE for assistance at: 781-455-0400 x235.
Please remember: There are no refunds for withdrawals once a registration has been completed. If NCE must cancel a class, you will receive a refund check from the Town of Needham in approximately 3 weeks.

The Needham Public Schools Community Education Department is pleased to offer KASE for each elementary school. KASE, a fee based program, affords kindergarten children the opportunity to experience the best in fun by extending the 1/2 day kindergarten program with a 1/2 day KASE program.  The unit based KASE curriculum complements kindergarten and extends learning through an engaging array of hands on, enrichment explorations.
