The SUMMER EXPLORATIONS catalog is now available.  Check out the wonderful array of offerings!  All registrations will be taken online*, beginning this Monday, March 13.  Use the link on the cover of the catalog (link goes live at 7:00AM). Please note that we use a guest check-out system, so you DO NOT need to set up accounts for your children.

Summer Explorations is Needham's hottest summer program, with over 80 exciting, engaging and affordable workshops for children entering grades 1-9.  The weeklong, half-day and full-day classes will run the weeks of  July 3-7 (no classes July 4), July 10-14, July 17-21 and July 24-28. 

There are classes in science, sports, cooking, fine and performing arts, math fun, creative writing, technology and more that will appeal to the inquisitive, active and creative child. All classes are taught by Needham Public Schools staff members and other trained education professionals.  The classes will be held at the High Rock School and the Broadmeadow School.

NCE, in conjunction with the NHS Athletics Department, offers summer sports clinics: 
Rockets Volleyball Clinic: Half-Day (June 22-23, 9:00-12:00 for grades 3-7 and 1:00-4:00 for grades 8-12)
Rockets Volleyball Clinic: Full-Day (9:00-3:00, June 26-29, grades 6-12)
Girls Basketball Clinic (5:00-8:00 pm: July 31-August 3; grades 4-8)
Rockets Field Hockey Clinic (9:00-12:30, July 10-13; grades 5-9)
Rockets Baseball Clinic (9:00-12:30, 7/10-13; grades 3-9)
Intensive Wrestling Clinic (8:30-3:30, July 24-27; grades 6-12)

NCE Summer College Tours Class and SAT & ACT Prep Classes
The popular College Tours class will be offered the week after school is over, from June 27-29, and gives high school students the opportunity to visit and learn about 6 colleges in 3 days, while accompanied by NHS guidance counselors.  Click here for more details and register today!

The NCE Summer Community Service Program sends teams of students and a faculty leader, via public transportation, to participate in weeklong volunteer activities in Boston the weeks of 7/10, 7/17, and 7/24.  Each program is approximately 6-7 hours a day, including travel time. Specific hours will be determined closer to the start date. Registration begins March 31 and space is VERY limited.  Click here for details and register today!

What is your child doing after school next year? Don’t know; don’t worry! NCE Middle School is excited to offer ASAP again in the 2017-2018 school year.

After School At Pollard (ASAP) is for students in grades 6 to 8. ASAP is a warm and welcoming environment, staffed with great teachers, held every day from 2:20 to 6:00 PM. Transportation is available from High Rock to Pollard. ASAP helps students support each other, love learning, explore freely, and maybe develop a passion for something new! The program cost is $20 per day.

WELCOME! NCE Elementary welcomes Carolyn Colonna as the new NCE Program Director for Elementary and Summer Explorations. Carolyn is looking forward to continuing to bring exciting and enriching programs to Needham elementary students.

NCE ELEMENTARY enrichment classes for the Early Fall will begin in October. Classes are offered at each elementary school at the end of the school day. Evening and Early Release Day classes too!  Check back for a Sneak Peek of classes, available online August 30.

The NCE ELEMENTARY catalog, with class descriptions and pricing, will be online and emailed on September 11. Registrations will be taken online, beginning September 12. Details will be provided with the release of the NCE Elementary catalog.
